As the Director of Campus Organizations, Sherwynn is fortunate enough to work with all registered campus organizations whether it is in advising, program planning, funding, and leadership development. She joined the Office of the Dean of Students in February, 2009 and her program areas include the Anteater Involvement Fair, Anteater Awards, Student Organization Leadership Conference, Peter’s Parade, the Dean’s Fund, and the Campus Organizations Resources and Education (CORE) program.
Sherwynn received her Masters in Arts in Education, Policy and Leadership from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Social Behavior and Studio Art from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to this appointment she worked as the Program Coordinator at the UC Irvine Cross-Cultural Center and was an academic advisor at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Sherwynn enjoys, "working with ambitious students in their development and being part of the process of cultivating leaders in this increasingly global society." While a student at UC Irvine, she was highly involved in the Office of the Dean of Students through SPOP, the Admin Intern Program and as a student intern at the Cross-Cultural Center. Sherwynn was born in Tagaytay City, Philippines and grew up in San Diego, CA where she now lives with her husband and newborn baby, Miles. On her own time, Sherwynn enjoys spending time with family and friends, surrounding herself with art and music and playing the Wii. |
