Sally
Peterson

of Students and Assistant Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs
As
chief administrator for the Dean of Students family
of departments, Sally Peterson is responsible for the
operation and services of key elements in the UCI community,
including the Office of the Dean of Students, Disability
Services Center, Judicial Affairs, and International
Center, and in conjunction with the Executive Associate
Dean of Students, the Center for Women and Men, Campus
Organizations and Community Service, Cross-Cultural
Center, Greek Life, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender
Resource Center, and New Student Programs.
In
addition to her administrative duties, Sally Peterson
advises and consults with students and staff regarding
student conduct cases, policy development and enforcement,
and crisis issues. Academically, she also teaches the
freshman Psych 11e course the Social Psychology of Higher
Education, and she sponsors student research and placement
through Social Ecology 195 Field Study.
Furthermore,
Sally Peterson supports and coordinates many Student
Affairs initiatives and programs, speaks at campus programs
and functions, and helps staff Dean of Students activities
and special events.

Sally came to UCI as Dean of Students and has served
distinguishedly over the years, earning the accolades
of her staff and the trust of her peers. She has been
a consummate role model to many of UCI's young women
interested in higher education.
