Student / Parent Orientation Program (SPOP)
The Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP) is offered many times each summer in July and August for new freshmen. A special program for transfer students (Transfer Success) is offered once in June and once in July.
If you are a freshman, SPOP is mandatory (unless you are attending Summerbridge or CAMP). SPOP offers a comprehensive orientation to UCI. Academic advising, program planning and class registration are part of all the programs for freshman. Campus tours, social activities and meeting current and new UCI students are also available at SPOP. There is a fee to attend orientation. Dates for SPOP 2010 are listed below:
